The most wrathful decision an elected leader can make is to encourage the nation to throw itself into a state of confusion by supporting behaviors that God has condemned just to show he is better than other leaders. A REMINDER: God is the creator of all people and settled them into nations (Gen. 1: 26 -28; Gen. 11). This means, He owns them. It is also meaning; national leaders need guidance from God’s laws to rule successfully. God is Holy, and He is making sure that we are aware of His Holiness character throughout the commandments written in the Bible. It is to say that people will always want leaders that they gave their votes to fulfill their demands, but it is the leaders’ responsibility to give priority to God in every decision making for the people.
TWO STRATEGIC APPROACHES TO FULFILL RESPONSIBILITY TOWARD GOD:

Rule as Shepherds: In the old era, Kings were commonly known as Shepherds of their people because they were anointed by prophets of God to care for and lead the nations to be conformed to standards of what is right or just in behaviors (moral values), so people will not throw themselves into disarray. Today, the kingship system is mostly non-existent; most countries of the world are ruling by a “President”, which is someone elected by the people. However, the responsibility of a President is the same as a divinely appointed King. That is why, during inauguration ceremony, a “President” must make a formal promise (oath) similarly as exquisitely anointed king.
Rule with wisdom: It is an inner gift that can only be given by God. A wise President is one who can perceive moral value and blessings for his people; he must not be a “Laissez-faire” leader. This means, one that agrees to everything people want without concerns about the consequences. A wise leader must be strong, and shall not show sign of weakness, or tenderness to all desires of the voters; especially if those desires are against God’s commandments or could lead the nation into disarray. Most of those demands are often immoral, corrupted, abominable, and curse full. For instance, some people want their President to support abortion, and same sex marriages, or remove the Ten Commandments in public Offices, and so forth. These demands are against God’s Holiness and will surely put plagues on the entire nation instead of blessings, or wealth. The word of God says: “Blessed he nation whose God is the Lord…” (Ps. 33: 12).
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN AN ELECTED NATIONAL LEADER FAILS TO INVITE GOD IN MAKING DECISION FOR THE NATION?
Let us take a well-known example from the word of God: During the process of getting Israel out of Egypt, God chose Aaron as Moses’ spokesman (Ex. 4: 14). Later, during their journey in the desert, Aaron and his sons were set apart as Priests for The Lord (Ex. 28: 1 & 2). It come to pass; Moses had to go away for a meeting with The Lord God on the Mount Sinai to write the Ten Commandments, which was written by God Himself and handed over to Moses. Since he did not know when he will be released from that meeting, Moses transferred the leadership power to Aaron temporary. The Israelites who still had Egypt idolatries into their minds, approached Aaron and asked him to fashion physical gods for them to worship. Without hesitation concerning the possible outcome of his action, Aaron collected as much gold jewelries as he needed from the people, he melted them and fashioned a god for Israel, though he knew that God said, “the people shall have no other gods before Him” (Ex. 20: 21). Some scholars say that Aaron’s action was due to the pressure from the people. But the word of God reveals three facts that prove otherwise; that he accepted to please the Israelites because he wanted them to see in him a better leader than Moses. First fact, he began to collect the jewelries soon after the head leaders of the tribes spoke to him in these manipulated words: “…For as for this Moses, the man that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, we wot not what is become of him” (Ex. 32:1). These words indicate that the nation saw in Aaron the eager to be in Moses’ position, so they offered him that possibility to make it happens, which he quickly accepted. Second fact, Moses knew that Aaron has voluntarily encouraged the Israelites into corruption, he was not under duress. That is why he accused Aaron of leading the nation of Israel to commit sin against God, he says: “Aaron has made the Israelites necked (corrupted) into their shame among their enemies” (Ex. 32: 21 -25). Third fact, Numbers 12: 1,2 confirms that Aaron’s action earlier in Exodus 32: 1, was an act of jealousy because God was always spoke to Moses, despite that he married a second wife who was not an Israelite; Aaron and his sister Miriam were criticizing Moses in secret, but God heard everything.
THE RESULTS OF AARON ACTION
In his eager to show that he is more qualified than Moses to lead Israel, Aaron violated the laws of God by responding to the corrupted demand of the nation, which was the introduction of false gods among the Israelites for the first time since God pull them out from Egypt (the land of idolatry) to sanctify them. Aaron’s action to fulfill the desire of the people instead of obedience to God commandments has caused the losses of three thousand young leaders who participated in that rebellious act encouraged by Aaron. The word of God must be the pillar of all governmental structure designated to bring wealth, or blessings upon nations, and to prevent curses.
