DOES GOD A TYRANT! By: Laura Pelliton August 29, 2020

IMG_20180405_094943Most people have agreed that God exists. However, they also say that he is a Tyrant because He establishes laws upon people. GOD IS NOT A TYRANT. A tyrant is an absolute ruler that creates or mandates laws to oppress people and creates fears so he could strengthen himself. He would kill anyone that dares challenges him. While in the contrary, God is a concerned Father/Creator who creates rules of law to protect what is belongs to Him. A father does not create rule to oppress his children, but to prevent them from wander aimlessly, or diverge from His presence toward the enemies’ advantage – this strong interest in us is making Him very jealous (Ex. 20: 5).  Nevertheless, they are free to choose if they want His protection, or His rejection.

WHY DO THE LAWS OF GOD ARE IN THE BIBLE?

The laws of God are the pillars of facts on which the judgments of all nations are founded. I must say that the great judgement day of the Lord will be focus on nothing else, but the violations committed against His commandments that was not confessed and repented. However, He would never punish us for violating His rules, unless we were aware of them, but refused to abide by them.  That is why God has decided to dictate those laws to His servant (Moses) to put in writing for this current generation so they would have no excuses. In this current age everybody has access to a bible, whereon everything we need to know about the true God, and how to build a relationship with Him, are available. Although there are many reasons why those laws are in the Bible, in this project we will talk about only two of them. The First reason is to have the knowledge about what God represents in our lives, and what He expects from His children. Second, they are in writing for us to be aware of the consequences for knowingly disobey Him.

1-What does God represent in our lives, and what does He expect from us?  Unlike a tyrant who  is just a chosen leader, the whole world belongs to God – that makes all people on earth His properties. God owns us whether we like it or not.

For that reasons, He expects us to be aware of the laws that He has always established to be in His presence so we can be successful in everything we have desired. Psalms 1: 1-3 says that the man that finds his delight in the law of God and meditating it day and night will be blessed. “And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he does shall prosper.” The point is, the only way to acquire that prosperity the psalmist is talking about (which is not material wealth, but everlasting salvation through Christ) is by fulfilling His desires find in those laws. Before I continue to the next paragraph, I would like to make a personal statement. About a few years ago I started reading the word of God to better know Him and find out what He expects from all these people on earth whom He had created; and why He, sometimes punish nations or individuals. Then I discovered that the more I spend time reading, the closer He has come toward me, because He sees that I am interesting of knowing what he requires from us. All He wants is that we respect Him: give Him all glory; do not give the worship that He deserves for created us to false gods that did not create us and are also His enemies. Then I made my decision to abide by His words and show Him total devotion. He has become my strength, my shield, my confident, my husband, and my best friend. Although I am still striving to fulfill His desires, He makes me feel that I am protected, and that He accepts me as I am, because He knows I am not perfect. Now, we have become so close to each other that no one, or nothing in this world can separates us. That is the type of relationship that God expects us to build together with Him. I hope this short statement will help you strengthen in faith.

2What are the consequences for knowingly disobey God? This is our responsibility to read the Bible so we may be aware of the instructions. The moment that we choose to disregard any of those instructions, we have become sinners, and the Holy Spirit has also departed from within us, and the enemies of God come in to fill up the gap. Until that sin is confessing, and repenting, and forgiven, we are without God’s protection. The enemies are those demonic spirits and Satan their leader, which God had cast down from His kingdom because of their rebellious attitude. They have been trying to avenge God since their failure. Their objective is to lure us into idolatrous by diverge us away from the good things that please to God. For instance, Satan and his servants know that God says: “Thou shall have no other gods before me. Thou shall not make unto the any graven image or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above…” (Ex. 20: 3, 4, 5). All sort of earth animal, flying birds, the sun, the moon, the stars, are not to be worship (Deuteronomy 4: 16 – 19).  So, he purposely placed those false gods to all over the planet earth into different forms of graven images, such as gods in silver or gold, images of animals and birds flying; images of Mary the mother of Jesus in plaster or ceramic, images of peter and Paul, and many other type of images, and they have disciples everywhere, even in churches, to convincing people that God hears prayers addressed through these images. I can assure you; if any prayers addressed through idols has been answered, the answer did not come from God; but from the demonic spirit that incarnating into the image of whatever the “saint” that you are believe in. Jesus-Christ the true Son of God made it clear that no one can reach up to the Father without Him

COULD GOD ACCEPT US BACK AFTER FORSAKEN HIM?

God knows we are not perfect. Somehow, or for some reason we are all disobey Him? He always understand why we are making mistakes; that is why He wants us to seek solution from Him (our Father) instead of going elsewhere; if we seek Him with all our hearts in prayer, He will hear our voices (Deuteronomy 4: 29). He has a feeling of repugnance for people who know that He exists but still worship false gods – if they do not repent, He will ashamed them on judgment day. God is waiting for anyone that had forsaken Him; He says: “ If my people, which are called by my name shall humble themselves and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7: 14). King David also assures us in Psalms 103: 8, 9, 10, saying: “The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and plenteous in mercy. He will not always chide; neither will he keeps his anger forever. He has not dealt with us after our sins, nor rewarded us accordingly to our iniquities” (Ps. 103: 8, 9, 10). The only way we can protect ourselves from Satan’s distraction is by reading God’s commands and practice them daily, so the Holy Spirit could lead us toward the right path

In conclusion, God is not a tyrant, but an understandable Father and creator who knows the weakness of His children. So, those laws that he had created are to keep them strong, and to create shields roundabout them that which diverts them from corrupted acts of this world
